Booking & Payments
To secure your date, a 30% non-refundable retainer fee is required. This amount is deducted from your total balance.
Final payment is due 3 weeks before the session/wedding via bank transfer. Your date is only confirmed once the contract is signed and the retainer fee is received.
Client Responsibilities
By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
The Client agrees to provide accurate information, timelines, and any relevant instructions reasonably required for the Photographer to perform the services.
The Client is responsible for obtaining any required permissions, permits, or approvals for photography at the event location.
The Client is responsible for ensuring all individuals featured in the photoshoot have given their consent to be photographed.
Any additional requests or changes to the agreed package may incur extra costs and must be discussed in advance.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 60 days before the event and are subject to availability.
In the event of cancellation by the client: The retainer is non-refundable.
Cancellations made less than 60 days before the event may incur additional charges, as last-minute changes disrupt scheduling.
Artistic Release
Consistency - The Photographer will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the services are produced in a style consistent with the Photographer's current portfolio, and will use reasonable efforts to consult with the Client and incorporate any reasonable suggestions.
Style - The Client acknowledges and agrees that:
The Client has reviewed the Photographer’s previous work and portfolio and has a reasonable expectation that the Photographer will perform the Services in a similar style
The Photographer will use its artistic judgement when providing the Services, and shall have final say regarding the aesthetic judgement and artistic quality of the Services; and Disagreement with the Photographer’s aesthetic judgement or artistic ability are not valid reasons for termination of this Contract or request of any monies returned.
Editing Style - The Photographer does not offer custom edits, alternative colour grading, stylistic changes, or extensive Photoshop work. By entering into this agreement, the Client confirms they are booking the Photographer specifically for her existing style as presented in her portfolio.
Retouching - The Photographer is not obligated to perform extensive individual retouching such as body reshaping, wrinkle removal, or other alterations that significantly change a person’s appearance.
Gallery Revisions - The Client acknowledges that it is not always possible to capture every individual moment or guest during the event. The Photographer will use professional judgment and expertise to select and edit the final images delivered in the gallery.
Turnaround Time
Edited, high-resolution images will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of the event unless otherwise specified.
Photos will be delivered via a secure online gallery where you can download and share your images.
Image Usage and Copyright
All images remain the property of Astrea with Love and are protected by copyright.
The Client is granted a non-exclusive licence to use the images for personal purposes, such as printing, sharing on social media, and displaying at home.
No unedited or RAW files will be provided under any circumstances, as these do not represent the finished work.
Any commercial use or edits to the images without prior written consent is prohibited.
Social Media Content Rights
The Client grants the Photographer permission to use any images from the event that include the Client and their guests for portfolio, marketing, promotional, and social media purposes. This includes the use of recognisable likenesses without the need for further consent or compensation.
Should the Client prefer that any images are not used for such purposes, the Client must notify the Photographer in writing prior to the event. In the absence of such notice, it shall be assumed that the Client grants permission for reasonable use.
Liability and Limitations
Photographer will take the utmost care to deliver high-quality images. However, in the unlikely event of equipment failure, loss, or damage to photographs before delivery, liability is limited to a refund of all payments received.
Photographer is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances (e.g., delays, accidents, or disruptions) that may impact the quality or timing of the photographs.
Photographer is not liable for dissatisfaction resulting from circumstances beyond her control (e.g., weather, behaviour of participants, or venue lighting).
In the event of unexpected circumstances beyond Photographer's control (e.g., illness, accidents, pandemics, or natural disasters), every effort will be made to find a replacement photographer. If no alternative arrangements can be made, all payments, excluding the non-refundable retainer, will be refunded.
Damage and Abuse Policy
In the unlikely event that the Client or guest accidentally damages the Photographer’s equipment, the Client may be held responsible for the cost of repairs or replacements.
The Photographer maintains a safe and respectful working environment. In the event of verbal or physical abuse by the Client or their guests, the Photographer reserves the right to leave the event immediately. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Confidentiality
Photographer will keep all personal details provided by the Client confidential and will not share them with third parties, except as necessary to deliver the service.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising under these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the Client and the Photographer. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in England.
Jurisdiction
This shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Contract Modification
Any modifications to these terms must be made in writing and signed by both the Client and the Photographer.
